i start one project which has 2.3" 8 digit seven segment display.its simple counter application which can counte the digital input and display it.
can you tell me how much power require for transformer to drive this 8 digit 7 segment display and one microcontroller???

 

No one can answer that without more details. Don't you have the specifications? What's the display technology?

Hi,

It depends on the number of digits and what each segment drive current is and the overall duty cycle (if there is any time when they are all off). Obviously if they are driven with more current they will require more power to operate.

 

A 12MW dedicated power station should be reasonably sufficient.
