    Good morning guys/gals,

I am working on this project:

    http://www.instructables.com/id/Pong-Word-Clock/step2/Circuit-Diagram/

..and have what im sure is a very stupid question. Im a little confused as to where the:

    - GND's go to on the batter and DS1307 go, is it to the GND on the bottom left of the arduino board?

-The +5v from the DS1307? Is that connected to the 5v on the right hand side of the Arduino?

-Same question about pin 12 from display1, does that go to the 5v pin above the 3v3 pin on the Arduino?

Sorry if these questions are dumb, but i'm a total beginner when it comes to electronics.

    Thanks for reading

All the grounds are connected together. All the +5V pins need to be connected to +5 volts.

Cool. And are those GNDs wired to the GND socket in the bottom left of the Arduino? And are those +5v all connected to the 5V socket on the right of the Arduino?

    Stupid questions, i know

I've never seen an Arduino, but I expect it won't work if you don't connect the power supply to it.
