In p-n junction definition we have studied that when we place p-type and n-type materials in contact with each other then a p-n junction is formed. But my question to all of you is that how can we place two different materials like P-type and n-type together in contact with each other?

I'm not quit sure I understand the question. p-n junctions are created by starting with one type of material, n-type, or p-type and then doping, depositing or implanting material of the opposite type. For example, you may start off with silicon doped with boron impurities to give p-type material and then deposit phosphorous onto the surface to create the n-type region.
