we were asked to do a simple mini project over the holidays!! i m so very new to this stuff!!! i don't know how to start!!! plz help me out...

The extremely old circuit was used to charge an old Ni-Cad battery in an old cell phone.
It will cause a modern Lithium battery to catch on fire so don't use it to charge a modern cell phone's battery.

My wireless home phones still use an old Ni-Cad battery. The old batteries fail frequently.
A new phone complete with a battery and charger costs less than just a battery.
