Can somebody please help me.
I have 2 x 3.7v Li-ion cells.
They're hooked up in series to give me 7.4v.
In order to charge them, I need to charge them with a 5v supply(mini USB).
So I need to apply this 5v across each cell without disconnecting the series configuration.
How do I configure this.
Is there a battery management IC to cater to this exact configuration?
Or is it as simple as connecting a couple of diodes or transistors?
My problem is that by connecting the 5v supply across both cells, the configuration then becomes a parallel circuit and alters the output voltage.
But I need 7.4v.
Please help me.
Thank you.
