I already searched for other Elevator topics in this forum but they couldn't help me in the way i wanted it, so i started a new thread.

I have to build a 3 floor elevator using a PLC(1st, 2nd and 3rd floor). It will have one "up" call button on the first floor and one "down" call button on the third floor and one of each "up" and "down" call button on the second floor. All floor will have indicating lights which will show the current position of the elevator Cab.

Iam using limit switches on each floor. I just know that I'll be needing two relays to turn the motor clockwise or counter clockwise. My question is

How do i go about connecting the motor, the limit switches and the relays.
If anyone could provide the right circuit diagram I would be greatful.

I am just using a 12V DC geared motor and two 12V DPDT relay.

Currently my approach is to design the right circuit which can actually turn the motor in both directions, then using the right PLC and Ladder logic i'll be able to automate the whole process.

Hoping to hear from you soon. Good day to you all

Your PLC should have documentation with diagrams to show you how to connect I/O. Have you read the documantation? Can you post a link to it?
