Hey all, I drew up this schematic today as an overall of the plasma speaker I'm planning on building. I'm only actually planning on building the +24V-0V section, not the lower half, I simply included it because it interests me, I'm curious to see if it would work like that, and I had nothing better to do during art class. :p

It't just the schematic Wookie made for me in my other thread, attached to a FET controller, FET, and fly-back.

Essentially my question is would 24V work with the fly-back without blowing the FET or do I need one with higher voltage ratings?

    Datasheet avaliable here.

Sorry its kinda sloppy, I'm going to make it is spice or SCH when I get a chance... :frustrated:

I'd use higher voltage MOSFETs, they aren't that much more expensive. I see other potential problems but get it drawn out in Spice or http:/// - not a simulator but sure is easier to draw schematics in, on top of that it's free to 200 pins or 500 if you download the educational or non-profit version.
