    Interesting to see it may finally happen. I recall ideas to use cesium in plasma rockets back 40 years ago.

    Old E.E. (Doc) Smith, an SF (more like space opera) author from the 1920's had rockets being propelled by what he described as giant triode tubes with the electrons coming off the cathode as the reaction mass.
