Hi, What software do you recomend for taking pictures of the computer screen, only pictures not video.

OS would be handy to know. If XP, I swear by WinSnap.

If you want Vista support, or extra features then do consider the advanced version.

Are we discussing the same function that 'printscreen' button carries?
Pretty much. The only issue I have with the print screen function is that you have to open another application (usually Paint) and paste the screenshot in there. One of the things I liked about WinSnap was that it automatically pastes the screenshot into it's own editor as you make the screenshot.

Vista has caught up by adding the Snipping Tool which works similar to WinSnap, however the Snipping Tool still has a quirk with windows with curved corners, i.e. all windows in Vista! Go figure! To be fair, it works pretty well.

There are lots of softwares, some are free, some are shareware and licensed.

But for pictures on computer screen, the easiest one is just pressing 'PrtSc' button (Print Screen) on your keyboard.

Then you can press 'Ctrl+V' (paste) into Paint or Word document.
