guys i want to sample lets say an digital output from a certain system every 1.5second. Now i know programming a Picaxe to do that will be alot easyer than doing it with a 8051 microcontroller. but the thing is i have no experience in programming a picaxe but i can program a microcontroller fairley well.

any hints on how to program a picaxe and which picaxe model i should buy?

Use Logicator for PICAXE or PICAXE programming editor to program easily in function blocks.

P.S. Why does all the formatting get removed from my posts?(EG:This line is separated from the last line by 5 blank lines.)

It shouldn't. Pop over over to F&S and we'll see if we can solve the problems. Thanks.
