    According to the datasheet:

Port A is 6 bits wide (can be used as A/D)
    Ports B,C & D are 8 bits wide
Port E is 3 bits wide

Based on the data lines present in the processor or controller we named that 8085 as a 8 bit processor and 8051 as a 8 bit controller, then PIC16F877A is a how many bit controller?
    Kindly reply

    Hello,

In the 16F877 datasheet is stated 8 bit microcontroller.
The 16F877A is the enhanced version, but no number of bits is stated.

    Greetings,

All PIC10,12,16 and 18 families of microcontrollers are 8 bit devices. This is not a measure of the number of data line going into or out of the device but rather the number of bits in the PIC's internal data bus.
