i am trying to upload a program in pic 16f877a micro controller it seems uploaded ok but when i verify it it doesn't verify giving error verifying i am using genius G540

You need to give some more information. What kind of error? Does it run? Does it burst into flames? How did you determine it doesn't work? How should it work? How is it connected together? Did you include a pullup resistor on MCLR? How is your oscillator connected to the PIC? What are your configuration bits set to? Is this done in-circuit?

These are the kinds of questions that will enable us to help diagnose the problem - simply stating that it doesn't work doesn't give us much to go on.

 

Did you set the code protection config bit?
