My class is using a philips pm3335 scope -- which seems to be part digital and part analog. It's got an IEEE448 port and an RS232 9-pin port on the back. Does anyone know if the rs232 port, in general, can provide a screen shot? I have searched up and down for manual online to no avail. All I found was the service manual which is not talking about the user aspects of the scope.

This site says they have what you are looking for..... http://www.jetecnet.com/index.html

Your scope is listed about 1/2 way down the page (numerical order listing).

    Google is your friend.

Thanks, but that site is charging $10 for the operator's manual.

Thanks but I've already got the service manual (as I said in the first post). The service manual doesn't talk about the capabilities of the RS232 port. It only talks about the circuit or the RS232 port and how to fix it, etc.

Anybody know if, IN GENERAL, a scope like this might be able to send out a screen shot through the RS232 port?
