I notice several options for board material when ordering PCBs.

Rogers, Standard FR4 and High TG FR4, whats the difference? I am building a board that will experience high temps.

 

How high is high? If you go above the degradation point of epoxy in FR4, you have have to consider some exotic alternative like teflon.

 

I am not too sure exactly a temp. I have a couple MOSFETS that I am using to open two solenoids. I have heat sinks on the MOSFET and bus-bar. This week I am going to be able to test out the circuit on a bare-bones board.

Whats the high TG mean?
