I don't even know how to start, I don't even know what to search for when looking for a schematic.

I have an AV output from a camera, and I want to interface with a microcontroller (PIC32), and overlay on the video text information.

I want to do this for the FPV system of a quadcopter. The camera on the quadcompter is a separate system, and I want to display on top of the video the battery voltage, or other information.

I can do the programming part on the PIC, but I don't know how to do the electronics part. I need a sample schematic so that I can get an idea on how to even start?
