Other manufacturers have similar parts. I suggested previously that you search for "high side current sense amplifier".

I had found many ic for this amplifier. I guess i had misread the datasheet hence i could not find what i was looking for

 

I had order the chip from farnell the model is sot23..Any recommendations for the ic socket? because it is very tiny..

For the SM8 package isit the normal ic size?..

 

The "new reality". The days of DIP IC is over. You need a SOT23 bread board adapter.

 

noted...but the price stated by farnell is abit on the high side..

In addition, its a multiadaptor..
