Hello all,
I am new to all things electronics and have bought some books to get up to speed. I would like to structure my learning by following some sort of online / distance course but I am unable to find any. The Open University and similar
institutions do not offer anything electronics.
Does anyone know of an institution with online / distance learning for an
electronics course.
Any help would be appreciated as for now I am using my books and google
to learn but I feel this lacks structure.
Thanks,
K.

WOW, that is a really nice resource, thank you very much bertus for sharing.
Thank you also for making sure I do very little for the next few days!
I was sort of hoping that I could find something I might even be able to get some sort of diploma but I am not holding out much hope.
Thanks again bertus, it is appreciated.

In addition to following the Ebook on this site, you might look up the NEETS training series. They will give you all you need to know, but wont give you a dipoma. Most of the online or distance learning diplomas are pretty useless since they have been relegated to "diploma mill" status. If you pay your money you will get a diploma and the industry has weeded out too many unqualified "diploma" holders in the past. The NEETS, and Ebook are excellent sources of info and if folowed from beginning to end you will be smarter than most grads anyway. Hope this helps..

Thank you all for this help, I am still trying to figure out what to go with.
In any event, I have found more on this forum in a day than a week looking
this up in google. Free advice and help like this is much appreciated.
I will take a look at all of this and report back. This may take a while!
