I hate cutting rectangular holes in project boxes! Does anyone know of a panel mount 7-segment LED assembly that mounts in a round hole? A distant second would be some sort of bezel that covers my sloppy cutting work, if you know of one of those. I need a 1 or 1.5 digit display.

Gee, I haven't seen round 7-segment displays for sale for a long time.

But have you ever heard of a nibbler tool? They're a big help when cutting rectangular holes in project boxes. Just drill a 3/8" starter hole for the tool head, and go to town. Not as fast as a jigsaw/saber saw, but does the trick. If you work from the inside of the box, and are somewhat careful, you'll have a nice neat rectangular hole in a few minutes.

or rough cut the hole with something else, (like drill a bunch of small holes around the perimeter of the cutout) and use jewelers files to smooth out the opening. If you are patient you can have openings that look like they were there to begin with
