On/Off Indicator using a Current Transformer

Whipped up an LTS model of KM's circuit, but it wouldn't work without something to reset the transformer core. With the added diode it comes on somewhere between 0.5 and 1.0 mA secondary current, and includes transient suppression. I decreased R1 to 18 ohms (500 mA limit of a 2003 section) and everything still worked, so the battery and LED can be just about anything reasonable.

The green trace is guzzinna (the junction of the two diodes), and the blue trace is guzzoutta (the darlington collector).
