Hi All,

Just saying hello and introducing myself.

As the thread title suggests I am not a spring chicken, been a lot of places and done a lot of things.

After a few 'life disasters' I have relocated to a 100 acre bush property and am setting up my home.
No power to the property means alternative energy is a necessity and a steep learning curve to boot.

But I am not afraid of learning new skills and electronics is one now of them. While not being totally ignorant of the electronics side of life I am certainly not intimate with it either.

So please excuse my noobness and I hope that I can be of help in some way in return.

Here is your first lesson. Learn these relations

Voltage: E(volts); Current: I(amps); Resistance: R(ohms), Power(watts)

E=I*R
I=E/R
R=E/I
P=E*I
P=I^2*R
P=V^2/R

Welcome to the group.

Thanks,
Ohm's law, one of the many things I have done was start an electrical training course in Denmark, didn't get too far as it was too cold over there for me.
Oz is more climate friendly.
