Here is a simple push-push alternate action circuit. Its output current is low so it should drive a transistor for more output currernt.

    What does this circuit do?
And what are the two big triangles? how would i wire up one of these

I need the output to power a 9V relay so im not sure how to do the transistor thing

If you have read my previous posts i am using a doorbell to controll this circuit it is 'Relay basic help" but i can easily use the relay from the doorbell as a sub for the push button, Basically this is what i need

A circuit that s powered by the same switch, so for example a relay connected to a circuit with a pushbutton (in my case a relay) so i press the button relay powered i can make it latch, press same button relay unlatches or it can be done another way i just want to power a light with the doorbell, its output is 3V DC and im sort of in a rush as it is for some christmas lights

You won't have time to get the parts before Christmas.
