I am looking for any user experience / feedback about modules based on the nRF24L01+ IC by nordic semi. For example modules like the one listed below.

there are plenty of Chinese manufacturers making these modules.

I need to know are they reliable and is the specified range anywhere close to what we can hope to get on field. I have tested the modules, but I am planning these modules for a critical project and needed as much feedback about them as I can get.

What do you expect? We're mostly hobbyists, not professional engineers.

I know...its just that whenever I've asked a question here...people have exceeded expectations. Thats Y this was a lil surprising... and in all honesty hobby people such as yourself seem to know more about stuff than the professionals..

I have used them extensively. Line of sight, I have been getting a range of around 1700 - 2000 meters. With obstructed view, it's hard to say.

When you initialize the modules from within your code, set the data rate to the lowest setting to get the maximum range.
