Then there's no way the server could send Philmod a notification.

But a notification in the first instance would be better than none.

P.S. The number next to the quoted person is the post ID, not the user ID.

If you have googlemail it should be possible to set up an alert, I've never done it before so this is a test to see if it works.

Hah? How does google work with AAC? If whatever you're talking about works, I'm definitely interested. Shall I go ahead and quote you in a thread you're not subscribed to, to see if it works?

 

For some reason it doesn't seem to be working for me. I put "Originally Posted by Markd77" into http://www.google.com/alerts before I made that last post and I've got no notifications.

 

Strange, now I have a notification, but not for either of the ones actually in a quote box.
