Starting at about 16:00 this guy goes over this same circuit without no input voltage pretty in depth... Doesn't do the problem that I'm doing but just talks more about the circuit which you guys probably understand better than me

(and yes the reason I watch these videos is because our teacher is worthless and says you don't even need to come to class just watch these videos... all she does is read his lecture slides from his website.. so this guy and you guys are my only resources so i really appreciate the help before my final in a few days)

The lecturer in the video doesn't address the problem of finding the Rth and Vth for the circuit as it figures into your problem.

He just shows that the circuit can be unstable.
