# Norton and Thevenin equivalents of circuit

$\hat{R} = R_2 + R_4 || R_1 = 6 \Omega$
$R_{Th} = R_3 + \hat{R} || R_5 = 8 \Omega$

The correct answer here should be $2 \Omega$

I concur with mik3. The correct answer for the Thevenin's Equivalent resistance is 8 Ohms.

The Thevenin Equivalent Voltage is 2 Volts. Is it possible that there is a mixup in the units for the answer.

Yeah, must have been an error in the solutions. It's often the case with this particular lecturer.
