normalized bandwidth vs bandwidth

    Why it is preffered to ue units of normalized banwidth WT compared with the bandwidth alone?
    can anyone tell?:D

    WT is the normalized bandwidth and also often referred as time bandwidth product.
    w is bandwidth and T is the duration of pulse.


    it is stated in bernard sklar book.
