Noob working a 24VDC siren PA on 12VDC with PTT mic interrupt

Working on converting a 24vdc PA siren to work on 12VDC. I found a step-up transformer to power the unit. The tone module and integrated amp runs on 24 volts but I also want to run a mic PTT to switch in as signal and power and isolate the tone module/ power supply line. I assume the mic PTT can handle 24v....Being challenged electronically I stop at theory and get lost at 87A relays.
I can solder at least to breadboard something!
