I need a charger circuit that can charge a 6 volt NiMH battery pack and supply 1.8 amps while charging. Can somebody please make me a schematic? I have looked everywhere and found nothing. If you're curious, I am making a rechargeable soldering iron that needs to be powered off of a transformer when the batteries die. I would like the transformer to also charge the batteries while powering the iron.

I did a google search on "nimh battery charger schematic" and got more responses than I could go through in a lifetime. Now, did you really look everywhere?

I have the basic circiluit. I just need some guidance on how to regulate the charging of the batteries.
