Interesting I found this forum by chance. I have the same 24v. batt. charger
that a question was posted a couple months back. I used some of that info to troubleshoot my faulty system and eventually found a burned out transistor.
I'm not sure where to purchase a replacement. It reads as follows:
    MCR 22-3
    M 047
I'm a novice at this stuff, maybe you know a good website to order small quantities of components. All I seem to find on the web are large distributors.

Also, how could I determine a sufficient replacement if this one is not available?
    thanks.

An MCR 22-3 showas as a silicon controlled rectifier. Mouser and digikey don't seem to carry them. Perhaps someone can recommend a replacement.

    The MCR22-3 crosses over to:
    2N5062
    and
    NTE5402

    Jameco.com has them

I was wrong. Mouser has them but not the -3. I don't know how much difference it makes.

A big thanks for all the help. I really appreciate the info. I will definitely be back to talk about guitar effects stomp boxes. I've been thinking about building some clones which would be fun, and allot cheaper than buying new.
    until next time... regards.
