hi guys i have a very limted knowledge base with this sort of thing id like to make a rev counter for my bike the wiring diagram i have i have had to change as id like to have all the led flash when led 10 is lit like a shift chage light please can someone look over the whole circuit to see if ive made a boo boo any where thanx guys

 

ok have you tried to input a low voltage dc signal (0 to 2v) into pin 5 of the LM3914 on its own to see if your leds ramp up and then flash on the last one?

Also what voltage are you getting from pin 5 of the LM2917, when you input a pulsed signal into pin 1 ?

 

thanx for your reply i haven't wired anything up as yet all parts on the way i just wanted someone to look over the diagram to see if theres anything ive done wrong that sticks out before i start the build but the things you have sugested will be very handy to test
