Hopefully this doesn't sound too cornfusing. I'm looking to build a circuit that has solid 12vdc input with about 6 outputs to relays that trigger different lights .. but it would be loop cycling through each relay at 10 second intervals. Very similar to a traffic light sequencer. Next circuit would be 10 minute intervals .. but i'm starting simple here for this first one. I've searched through files but maybe I'm missing something .. can anyone at least point me in the right direction? Originally looked into using LM555 timers but there's gotta be other options.

Yes, kind of like that. But a diy where when you flip a switch it just cycles through each relay for 10 seconds each.

I don't see why a 555 astable is not the preferred solution here. Very simple if not terribly precise. I'd use 556 ICs, to control 2 relays with one IC.
