I'm Richard from Richmond, Virginia. I had two years of electronics in a high school vocational trade school 32 years ago. I was the last class to study vacuum tube technology until we switched to solid state electronics the following year. I've never used this knowledge professionally (I'm a scenic artist in the movie business) but now and again need to update myself with current technology because of personal projects. Hope to learn a thing or two from here.

BTW, Welcome to the forums Richard. Nice to have you.
You've stumbled onto an electronics information oasis here.
You won't find another forum with members so helpful and so troll & spam free.
I'm happy here, and I'm sure you will be too.
