i have a fundamental doubt in basic circuit theory.please clarify it..

consider a circuit containing two voltage sources e1,e2 with no internal resistances. im connecting them in parallel and then connecting to a load resistance Rl.what will be the potential difference between the two ends of the load resistor.?:)

If the two voltage sources are identical, the voltage across the resistor will be (e1+e2)/2.

Use your mind! Theoretically, the high voltage battery will discharge into the low voltage battery until their voltages are equal.
