Does anybody know of a good personal weather station that has an API so that I can write a python script which fetches weather data from it?

When I say weather station I'm not talking weather underground or local media, I'm talking about a hardware device that you mount physically on your property and it collects rainwater, has an anemometer for wind speed, measures barometric pressure and RH, etc. Like this: http://www.acurite.com/weather-environment-system-01057.html

That one is network connected but has no api for custom interface. They want you to use their app. There are hacks for it but I would rather things be easier and be designed to work the way I want, not designed on purpose NOT to work the way I want.

My first idea was to build a weather station myself but I couldn't find the anemometer with a pulse output at a reasonable price. I just found this and this, and I think that's how I'll proceed.
