I have a circuit board with 17 volt input and three outputs with +12v, +6v and --2 volt. How do I check the negative voltage? Thanks

Measure it with your digital multimeter, just the same as you measure the positive voltages (of course, you need to pay attention to the sign of the displayed number to determine the voltage's polarity with respect to the input ports of the DMM).

If you are using an analog meter that only goes to zero, just turn the leads around
