Need to find the capacitance of capacitor

    Cap draws 2.4 amps when tested with 240v powersupply

    Xc = 240/2.4

    C = 1/(2PiFXc)

    with that calculation 24/2.4=100and came up with 26.5
    mfd = amps x 2653/volts

    26.5 uf is the right answer.

    That's what the "F" is in the second equation.
    I assumed 60 Hz and the OP came up with the answer that will fit 60 Hz, so I think we're communicating.

    Yeah I know. :)

    But 60Hz was not specifically mentioned, only "240v", and others viewing the thread (or searching the thread later) may have different expectations.
