need to build a strong adjustable electro magnetto us with regular megnets?

    sorry if im hard to understand. I am dyslexic and dont explain things very well.

    this is what i need to happen. i want to make something for practice.

    i want to build an adjustable electric magent that i can control by a switch to adjust the electromagnets strength. this way the electromagnet will push a standard super duty strong magnet for cheap price lol.
    also i wish to accomplish have the type of undecided battery im going to use to recharge by using the repell energy to restore some battery juice.

    that works something like magnets passing over eachother connected to copper coils.

    this will be a small mini generator.

    this is just a proto type for a toy im working on.

    The cheap version of the shake to light flashlight has a fairly strong short cylendrical magnet sliding thru a coil of many turns[500??] of verry thin [ 32-36 ga] wire, producing about 5V AC wull wave rectified feeding a cap & LED. The secret of its operation was in the 2 Li non rechargable coin cells. To drive magnet electrically, need a coil of limited no of turns[100?] of large guage [ #20?]with high current pulse. Efficiency- 1/2% or less.
