I'm currently building my first project which is tracked robot platform and I need some ideas which h bridge to use. I have L293D and the voltage drop is way too big (2.6V)

I need something to drive two 5V dc motors drawing 0,5A each while loaded that accepts 3.3V logic input

P.S would be nice if it can be used on breadboard

Are you looking for an IC solution or one using discrete components?
Is 0.5A the running current or the peak (stall) current?

 

IC that can be placed on breadboard would be perfect. 0.5A is running current of each motor. stall is 1A
