Trying to understand why a object that is positively charged by static electicity can become balanced or neutralized by the touch of a person.
Why not for a person touching only the positive terminal of a battery? Why would electrons "not" flow to the positive terminal via the person from ground and attempt to neutralize as in the case of a positive static charged object.

Electrostatic charges are several orders of magnatude higher in voltage. They more easily overcome the resitance of a human body.
