I created a simple RLC circuit in ORCAD Capture and now I'm trying to analyze it in Pspice.

But when I run Pspice I get a bunch of errors along the lines of:
"Pin A in template not found on R1"
"Pin B in template not found on R1"
"Pin A in template not found on L1"
and "No Pspicetemplate for for C1, ignoring"

I've seen lots of people asking for help with this on different forums, but no answers anywhere.

I don't understand why the generic R L and C devices don't have Pspice models associated with them but if I choose devices from just the libraries listed under ..../Library/Pspice/.. folder, the errors are resolved.
I also had to use the GND 0 symbol from the CAPSYM library or Pspice would insist that my design didn't have a ground net.

Hope this information is helpful to someone else in the future.

    Hi mrcdsmith,

The components lying under <install>/tools/capture/library/pspice are meant for simulation only and so have pspicetemplate attached.

Libraries outside this folder are not meant for simulation but are used for packaging flow (taking the schematic to Allegro layout).

    Hope this answers your query.
