    what is the difference betweeb saturation and linear operation?

    Saturation means the device is in a condition where further changes in the value of the input produce very small or no change in the output. This is pretty non-linear behavior.

    In the linear mode, changes in the input cause corresponding changes in the output. This relationship is described graphically by a straight line, with a slope and an intercept.
