NEED HELP on embedded face recognition

Hi everyone, I have to do a project on face recognition control access using a microcontroller..??
So, i need ur help in what microcontroller is suitable to use with sufficient memory and the type of camera interfaced with it..
I have another question..Can I download the face rec. system on the microcontroller (standalone) or should I connect the microcontrooler to the PC..?

please if anyone has idea abt this, help me..??
