    Hello,
I am a total noob when it comes to this kind of stuff. Can anyone help me in identifying the connection in the picture that I have attached?

Thank you for the information! I now have another question. Where would I find the cable to connect this to my computer?

Not sure I can identify it 100%, but Molex and JST are really good places to start.

Pitch is the first place to start, so it helps if you have a micrometer. Also look for tell-tail marks or logos.
Pitches or space between the pins are all over the map now. Some dimensions are weird now because 0050" now gets converted to metric.

Cables may have to be made. You may be able to use a multi-conductor ribbon cable. The pins are normally crimped an require a relatively expensive crimping tool. They don;t have to be the manufacturer's exact tool. I mainly use one made by AMP.
