Need help deciding which resistor I need

    Hello I have a 5 volt power source and a standard 1.5 volt led(see pictures below). My question is which resistor do I need so I don't damage the led with too much voltage. I would apresheate any help. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

    If you're using the LED as an indicator, 10mA is probably sufficient.

    R = V/I = (5V-1.5V)/10mA = 3.5V/10mA = 350 ohms. The nearest standard 5% value is 360 ohms.

    What would the color banding be on that resistor
