hi guys,

i want to make a very simple home-made pc-based osciloscope. In fact, using parallel port of my computer and an analog-digital converter it seems easy. However i want to take my digital inputs for pc through USB port. How can i do it? Programming is not a big issue. The point is that i dont know much about USB ports, how to get input or how to output, port adress, drivers etc.

In addition, how should i change my circuit? While using paralel port i have 8-bit output from adc and 8-bit input trough paralel port so there is no problem. However, USB is ... :S

Anyway i hope you understand me. i am very newbie to this works. Any idea, example or source on internet will be very helpful for me.

Thanks..

USB is a serial port. It uses two wires to transmit/receive data and two others to power small usb devices.
