    Greetings all;
    I am working on a project that has seven thin wires running from a outside source to a project box that I am working on.
    What I want/need is to have a plug of some sort that can easy and quickly connect the wires when removing the PCB from the external censer.
    As a side note the external wiring that is used is CAT5 cable with 7 of the eight wires being used.

    A DB9 subminiature connector is a commonly used connector with 9 pins.

    Thank you Crutschow.

    I was hoping that there might be some other responses that might prove beneficial.

    There are tons of connectors that work..
    te.com take your pick..

    How about just using rj45 modular jacks/plugs to go with the cat5 cable.
