#Name error in Access 2010 form

Hi, can anyone help me with an error I get in access 2010?

I'm trying to create a form, and in the expression for the value of the box, I want to reference fields using
![Field] or
.[Field] syntax to avouid confusion. However. when I try to do this, I get a name error, even though it seems fine wirth the expression builder. The functions work fine if I just use the field name, and each field has a unique name.
