Beware!!! Those messages are often misleading, and I've found many times that I've made some mistake that has nothing to do with what the software thinks the problem is. I've seen this particular before, but I can't remember what the actual error was.

Is this by chance, free software?

It's Pycharm Community edition. Freeware version of a paid software.
