    Hello All

I have acquired a Technics SU-X102 amplifier and a pair of Mission M73i speakers. On connecting these speakers There is a Humming sound from the speakers.By trial nd error i Found that this humming is heard only when speaker is connected to the Left Channel. It doesn't go even after grounding the amp. What could be wrong. Are the speakers proper match for this amplifier. I am new to the Hi Fi world.

***I did try to connect these speakers to NAD 3020 amp , there was no Hum.

    Desperately seeking Help

Sounds like there may be bad filter/bypass capacitor in the Left Channel circuitry.

You may be experiencing a ground looping problem. Do all the components plug into the same outlet or power bar. If not, try to get them all on the same circuit. Eliminate any extra peripherals not needed at this time. Is the hum on one or both channels, your post is confusing. If on one channel, does it change if you switch left and right speakers? Does it change with volume control? Louder/softer etc?
