multiplexer

    Hi everybody.i wana use multiplexer for 30 sensors.but i don't know how .please help me.

    Hi,

    That would depend on the nature of the sensor outputs. Give us some idea of what they are like - digital or analog, for instance, and maybe we can help. The more we know, the more likely we can make suggestions.

    Hi,
    well,we want to use multiplexer for 15 sensors for our robot (to follow the line).& we use ATMEGA16 .another thing is that we want to make a program for it but we don't know how?

    oh,I forgot to say that we wanna use analog multiplexer.

    A pair of 8 channel mux/demux chips would do the trick. (Or a pair of dual 4 channels.) There are several such chips available.

    What level of signal is used? What frequency? Different chips can handle different values.

    As to the programming question - what is the controller? FR450? PICAXE? MC68705U3S? Z80? Serial port of a Commodore 64? Something else?
